Day 5: Crémieu to Tournon sur Rhone

124km mostly flat with one climb for a total of 615m uphill
After a great breakfast thanks to Amélie and freshly laid eggs I was ready to roll.
Bastien Girard, Patissier - champion of the world!
It is thanks to Mathilde that I discovered Patisserie Intense, a gem a few hundred meters from the Via Rhona. Bastien Girard won the 2017 Lyon contest for the best patissier on the planet and you can taste it! Thanks Séverine for all those stories!
As for Mathilde, she runs the Chateau Hotel along the Rhone. We stopped there a few years ago and the huge indoor garage is perfect to store bikes easily while the rooms have a fantastic view on the Rhone and city.
No real difficulties today but the ride to avoid Lyon is not ideal. At some point I passed an Amazon depot in the countryside and had to take a small unpaved road that was not so pleasant but otherwise the ride was fine, luckily with little to no traffic.
