March 7-8:

There are two stories here. I will start with the Milan to Bergamo one that I just finished earlier today. The ride was fantastic - I left juat after 7 and stopped at some of the places that I had visited the day before (see pictures) - including a compulsory stop for a coffee anc chocolates - I then rode quite a few KM to get out of town and onto a trail along a river for a long portion of the ride. No cars, just very disciplined pedestrians walking on their right side of the track (yes, in Italy!), it was suprisingly pleasant and realxing. Quite a few cyclists waved and several tried to start a conversation in Italian - one of these talks ended with a friendly tap on my back when it became clear we would not exchange anything meaningful by talking :)

The highlights are my stop at the Ciocc shop and factory where I met Giulio and Stefano! More on this later... The other is my visit to Bike Fellas where I was able to fix my Ortlieb bike bag that was damaged (yes, German gear in Italy!!!) and also get a gluten-free burger and chocolate cake.
