Amazing Rovijn

Today was full of suprises. After a fantastic night and breakfast I hit the road later than usual but well fed and full of energy. The sun was shining, bright blue sky and the road was fantastic. I was riding in the forest on an unpaved path when I got a flat... Tried to fix it but it did not work. Used another inner tube but the valve came off when I finished pumping the tire... Was able to put the valve back in place but it came off again... I had one spare left. I used it and it worked. I got back on my bike and a few hundred meters later I was on the pavement again. Ouff. After a climb I decided to add a bit of pressure as my tire and the valve came off again... I knew that my ride would go as planned and I would have to stop at the next decent town which happened to be Rovinj (strongly recommended BTW as you will see in the pictures and film). There I found a shop and bought another spare... After 51km of riding I was only 14km from my starting point (by the shortest road). These bike paths have a tendency to zigzag all the time.... So tomorrow I will have to try and make up for this :)
